The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, stated today that the European Union is the station of our final national salvation from the shadows of the past and from falling back into their hands and clutches.
Through a video message in the "Sy m'sy" column, Rama responded to a commentator who said that Albania does not need the EU and who stated that "it is better for us to be alone at home than to become Pakistan."
"Which Pakistan or Kurdistan did I bring you here to? Not even one, zero, nothing. But despite this, I believe that an Albanian should never speak disparagingly of anyone else because we have experienced the injustice of disparagement. We have experienced it for centuries and our grandparents showed the whole world the nobility of the Albanian by risking their lives to protect the Jews even though the vast majority of them were Muslims, when the whole world abandoned them and left them to rot in the spit of racist cruelty," Rama replied to the commentator.
Rama emphasized that our great blessing is that we are born, live and die here in the middle of Europe and that the EU is today a real opportunity that can be grasped, touched with our hands.
"We have it feasible for ourselves and for our children and for our children's children and for their children. Only as part of the EU will our individual freedom be finally guaranteed, our equality before the law will be finally inviolable, and the standards of democratic coexistence will be finally irreversible and embodied in institutions," the Prime Minister added.Rama also emphasized that the Albanian EU passport will free us once and for all from the burden of discrimination as second-class citizens here in the middle of Europe.
"It will make us equal citizens with equal rights from studies to employment and healthcare in every EU country. Then say that the countries suffered economically because they joined the EU. It is a big lie that you have eaten like a blackberry," said Rama.
According to him, "in 10 years, Albania received support from the EU of just over 1 billion euros," he writes. ATA.
"With EU entry, we will receive the same support of more than 1 billion euros every year. Imagine, for example, how the countryside will suffer, how agriculture will suffer, how farmers will suffer. A minimum of 300 million euros per year will come to us from the EU for them," Rama said, according to the report. KosovaPress.
The Prime Minister invited the commentator to vote for the Socialist Party for the EU and to enter the EU to obtain Albania's European passport as individuals and as a state."You as an individual with your head held high. Albania as a proud state with the flag there in Brussels in a row as Albania, along with all other countries, equal among barbarians," Rama added.
