The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has announced that today his country became part of the unique European payment system.
After that, all Albanian remittances from Europe to Albania or vice versa will no longer have financial costs starting from January 1 of the next year.
"Another big step on the way to Albania 2030 in the European Union. Today, Albania became part of the unique European payment system, which means that all money transfers of Albanians from Europe to Albania or vice versa, will no longer have financial costs starting from January 1, 2025. Millions and millions of EURO saved from duties on remittances, thanks to the increase in trust in Albania and Albania's further approach towards the summit of EU membership", writes Rama in X.
