In the report of the Statistics Agency of Kosovo, it is stated that the overall harmonized index of consumer prices in the country in 2023 was higher at an average of 4 percent compared to 9.

 "The increase in the consumer price index was observed in COICOP groups and subgroups: vegetables (15,9%), fruit (11,4%), food products (11,3%), sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and sweets (11,2%), bread and cereals (8,9%), milk, cheese and eggs (8,4%), meat (7,8%), electricity, gas and other fuels (7,5 .7,3%), furniture, household appliances and home maintenance (6,4%), housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (6,4%), alcoholic beverages, tobacco (6,3%) , non-alcoholic beverages (5,8%), restaurants and hotels (3,8%), various goods and services (3,8%), vehicle purchases (3,4%), clothing and footwear (2,7% ), health (6,2%) with a common impact on these subgroups of XNUMX percent in the IHÇK, the report states.

While a decrease in the harmonized index of consumer prices during 2023 was observed in the subgroup of COICOP: fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment 11,4 percent, use of personal transport equipment 8,3 percent, transport 2,2, 1,3 percent with a combined impact of XNUMX percent on IHÇK.

According to KAS, the overall harmonized consumer price index is higher by an average of 2,3 percent in December 2023 compared to December 2022.

 "This is mainly explained by the increase in consumer prices in this period in COICOP groups and subgroups: trees (16,6%), vegetables (16,4%), therapeutic devices (6,9%), sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and sweets (6,6%), alcoholic beverages, tobacco (6,5%), maintenance and repair of personal transport equipment (6,5%), food products (6,3%), glassware , cutlery and kitchen utensils (5,8%), restaurants and hotels (3,9%), medical products, apparatus and equipment (3,6%), outpatient services (3,4%), bread and cereals (2,4, 2,4%), miscellaneous goods and services (2,0%), clothing and footwear (2,0%), gas (1,8%), financial services (1,3%), meat (1,1%) , furniture and furnishings, carpets and other floor coverings (2,7%), with a combined impact of these subgroups of XNUMX percent in IHÇK", the report states.

While the drop in prices is observed in COICOP groups and subgroups: oils and fats 10,5%, milk, cheese and eggs 3,7%, solid fuels, firewood, pellets, etc. 0,9%, means of communication 0,4% with a joint impact of these subgroups of -0,4 percent on the HIPC.

Whereas, the overall harmonized index of consumer prices is higher by an average of 0,3% in the month of December 2023 compared to the month of November 2023.

"This is mainly explained by the increase in the prices of articles and services in COICOPI groups and subgroups: transport services (16,7%), electricity (10,3%), vegetables (2,6%), tobacco (1,7%), milk, cheese and eggs (1,7%), household appliances (0,4%), soft drinks (0,2%), with a combined influence of these subgroups of 0,9 per percent in IHÇK", announced KAS.

While the drop in prices is observed in COICOP groups and subgroups: fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment (-6,0%), bread and cereals (-0,8%), health (-0,2%), clothing and footwear (-0,1%) with a joint impact of these subgroups of -0,6 percent in the HIQI.
