The Regional Road Traffic Unit in Pristina has added measures to increase traffic safety, aiming to prevent accidents as a result of violations of traffic rules.

Special focus is on running red lights, which endangers the lives of road users, and overtaking in full lines, which often ends in fatal accidents.

Today, five drivers were punished for running a red light with license suspension for three months, 13 drivers for overtaking in a full line, two drivers for using the phone (second time) with license confiscation, two vehicles were confiscated for non-compliance protective measures, while they were also registered
57 other misdemeanors.

The police warn that the increased control will continue on all the roads of the Prishtina region, therefore they appeal to respect the rules for the protection of life and safety of everyone.
