Today, the draft budget for 2025 is expected to be considered in principle in the Parliament of Albania.

But the speech of the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, was hindered by the opposition, who fell on the tables during the presentation of the draft budget.

Despite this, Rama said that Albania's 2025 budget has good news for pensioners.

"At the beginning of this speech about the 2025 draft budget, I want to convey to all the pensioners of Albania the good news that in the future the government will release a fund of nearly 100 million euros for their year-end bonus. It will be divided into two levels, all pensioners who have a pension up to 20 thousand lek, 200 euros, will receive 3 times the bonus of yesterday through a new bonus of 150 euros. While pensioners who have a pension greater than 20 ALL will receive double the bonus of previous years through a bonus of 100 euros. Rama said.

The Speaker of the Assembly of Albania, Elisa Spiropali, has invited the opposition to sit down and express their dissatisfaction in their own time. She invited them not to make noise and listen to the Prime Minister's speech.

At the request of Prime Minister Rama, the session was interrupted for a 5-minute break.

The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, in the meetings with pensioners, stated that a plan for a gradual increase in pensions is being considered.
