Full statement:
The Democratic Party of Kosovo, through this Political Declaration, reaffirms its steadfast commitment to the principles of democracy, justice, security, economic development and good governance. Based on recent developments in the country, the Governing Council of the Democratic Party of Kosovo approves the following statement:
1. Concerns about The Hague: PDK expresses its concerns regarding the developments in the Specialized Chambers in The Hague. We demand fairness and impartiality to judicial proceedings, and an approach with European standards, which guarantees the fundamental rights of each individual. Any attempt to give another way to the truth of the liberation struggle of our people risks undermining not only the legitimacy of justice, but also the legacy of the sacred sacrifice for freedom.
2. Justice for Kosovo: PDK has closely followed the latest developments in the country. We demand full investigation, responsibility and punishment of the criminals who carried out the terrorist attack against the critical infrastructure and institutions in Kosovo. PDK calls on the international community to react decisively against Serbia's hostile actions towards Kosovo and to the detriment of regional stability.
3. National security and integration: For the Democratic Party of Kosovo, strengthening the national security of Kosovo remains a priority. PDK emphasizes the need to protect state sovereignty and strengthen cooperation with our strategic allies, especially the United States of America and EU countries. In addition to providing security for the country and its citizens, Kosovo must intensify coordination with its allies on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration. This is the only direction and political goal of Kosovo.
4. Kosovo can do better: During the last four years, Kosovo has had a government defined by stagnation, missed opportunities and failure to fulfill important reforms. The lack of progress in economic development, health, education, diplomacy and other areas has left our citizens frustrated and our country without fulfilling its full potential. Like the citizens of Kosovo, we believe that Kosovo can do better. With visionary leadership, professional governance and a clear program for development, Kosovo can successfully face today's challenges and start building a better future for all its citizens. This is the mission of PDK.
5. Electoral mobilization for victory: PDK is fully mobilized for the general elections on February 9. The Democratic Party of Kosovo is encouraged by the great support of citizens, inside and outside the country, for our candidate for prime minister, Bedri Hamza. With the best candidate, program and team of candidates for deputy, PDK commits to victory on February 9. PDK remains united in its mission to build a more developed, safer and better Kosovo.
