The Democratic Party of Kosovo has condemned the terrorist attack that damaged the Ibër Lepenci canal, which supplies a large part of the country with drinking water and power plants.

According to PDK, this attack on Kosovo's critical infrastructure, after two other attacks with grenades on municipal institutions in Zveçan in recent days, indicates an organized attack on Kosovo and requires the maximum commitment of all state institutions.

PDK demands repair of damages, restoration of normality for citizens and investigation, discovery and maximum punishment of all those involved in it.

The full reaction of the Democratic Party of Kosovo:

The Democratic Party of Kosovo strongly condemns the terrorist attack that damaged the Ibër Lepenci canal, which caused serious consequences for the water supply of citizens in the Mitrovica region and beyond. This attack on Kosovo's critical infrastructure, after two other grenade attacks on municipal institutions in Zveçan during the last few days, indicates an organized attack on Kosovo and requires the maximum commitment of all state institutions.

Today, the main priority is the return of normality for citizens. Repairing all damages, restoring water supply and securing all critical infrastructure everywhere in Kosovo, so that such acts do not happen again.

This attack requires investigation, detection and maximum punishment of all those involved in it. It requires the mobilization of all the security and justice bodies of our country, in addition to securing the critical infrastructure, to clarify the case as soon as possible and to provide answers to the many questions that concern every citizen of our country today. Citizens today need transparency, information and accountability.

On this occasion, we call on the international community to severely condemn these actions, to exert pressure on Serbia and to help uncover this act that threatens the security and stability not only of Kosovo, but of the entire Western Balkans.

Special thanks to all media outlets for their honest and courageous reporting. At this moment, journalists deserve everyone's support to inform independently and without pressure.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo reaffirms its unreserved commitment to the security, stability and well-being of all citizens of Kosovo, without distinction.
