"Speaking about the security situation and developments in this sphere, President Osmani emphasized Serbia's ongoing tendencies to destabilize Kosovo and the entire region through well-coordinated actions with illegal structures and Serbian criminal gangs," the Presidency's announcement states.
The Osmani-Pratipati meeting comes a day after the arrest of Serbs in Gjakova and Prizren, who claimed to be on a pilgrimage.
"Investigations so far have shown that these groups had connections with Serbian military intelligence structures as well as with members of the Banjska terrorist group," the Presidency said, emphasizing that Osmani also discussed the arrest of Serbs with the American diplomat.
According to the announcement, Osmani stressed that this action is part of a continuous effort by Serbia to destabilize Kosovo, through threats and violence.According to the President, this constitutes an unacceptable interference in the state sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo.
"Furthermore, President Osmani firmly condemned these destabilizing and unacceptable actions, emphasizing that Kosovo will not tolerate any intervention that endangers peace, constitutional order and the security of all its citizens, regardless of affiliation," the announcement states.
The prosecution has requested 30 days of detention for the four detainees, who are accused of possessing weapons without a permit.
