The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has offered condolences to former President Hashim Thaçi and his family on the passing of Haxhi Thaçi.

"We learned with sadness the news of the passing of Mr. Haxhi Thaçi, father of the former President and former Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaçi. The loss of a father is an immeasurable pain, which leaves an irreplaceable void in his loved ones. I hope his contribution and love for the homeland will become a guide and a proud memory for all those who knew him," the president's letter of condolence says, reports ​KosovaPress.

On her behalf and on behalf of the people of Kosovo, Osmani expressed her most sincere condolences to former President Thaçi, the entire Thaçi family, as well as to the friends and relatives of Mr. Haxhi Thaçi.

"May his memory be eternal! May the soil of Kosovo be easy for him!", concluded Osmani.
