The head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Aivo Orav, said that many projects are planned to be developed in our country, while emphasizing that their goal is to bring Kosovo closer to the European Union as soon as possible. He announced this after the meeting with the mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama.

Meanwhile, Rama said that the capital has taken steps to fulfill all the tasks given by the European community as a capital.

In a statement to the media, Ambassador Orav emphasized that in addition to the government, the EU is cooperating with all the municipalities in Kosovo, and according to him, the EU is the biggest donor here in Kosovo.

"It was welcome to talk with the Mayor and also with his team, to learn more about Pristina, about the problems, about the challenges and also to learn how the EU and the municipality can work more closely together. Because the goal is to bring Kosovo closer to the European Union as soon as possible, and it is not only the government that we are working with, but we are also working with all the municipalities. The EU is the biggest donor here in Kosovo. There are many EU projects underway. There are many projects in the plan as well. And I really hope that we can continue our work in areas such as education, health, waste management, cooperation with young people, with the help of the EU", he said.

The mayor of the capital, Përparim Rama, said that together with Ambassador Orav, they discussed the challenges Prishtina and opportunities for cooperation and investment.

He said that they have taken steps to fulfill all the tasks that come from the European community.

"We discussed the challenges we have as a capital and the opportunities for cooperation, especially in investments, now in the museum, the concert hall, the ways we can overcome the current problems, in order to create real spaces for the art community, culture, education, health and for various spheres in the capital... We have taken steps to fulfill all the tasks given to us by the European community as the capital, to fulfill them perhaps even ahead of time because we have possibility... We decided to talk about other issues, however they come to us, because we are very close, we are at a very small distance. We decided to talk about future developments in the capital and in our country", said Rama.

After the meeting, Ambassador Orav accompanied by Mayor Rama visited a part of the municipality's facility, the Clock Tower of the Capital and a part of the location of bicycles from the municipality.

In addition to these, the head of the European Union Office, Aivo Orav, also visited the spaces of "TechPark" in lower Bërnica. There, together with the director of STIKK, Vjollca Çavolli, they met the startups supported by the European Union and exchanged ideas about the development of this sector in Kosovo.
