Within two weeks, the law on electronic communications in North Macedonia is expected to be approved, which will declare direct war on illegal online gambling platforms.
The deputy of the parliamentary majority, Brane Petrushevski, explained that with this law, through the Agency for Electronic Communications and internet operators in the country, access to these platforms will be banned, reports Alsat.mk.
"We are entering a decisive battle, I hope that in a week or two, the second reading, the second phase, will pass and the law will enter into force, after which, by order of the Ministry for Digital Transformation, the Agency for Electronic Communications is obliged to immediately act and block access to online gambling platforms, and this will be implemented through internet operators that are in the state and that are regulated by the AKE," said Brane Petrushevski, a VMRO-DPMNE MP.
He underlined that at the moment there is no exact number of how many such platforms there are, but assured that one by one, all of them will be discovered and banned, it transmits. KosovaPress.
"Right now we do not have a precise number, because it is a dynamic number, but believe me, one by one, as they will be discovered by the competent institutions, they will be stopped.
