The doors of the Museum of Survivors of Sexual Violence during the last war in Kosovo have been opened.

In the space with small rooms, the memories of the survivors of sexual violence during the last war in Kosovo are narrated through art.

The author of the "Çast" museum, Eliza Hoxha, said that survivors of sexual violence have experienced feelings of exclusion and stigmatization.

"Why moment? Our life is a collection of moments, they can be sweet and less sweet. There was one moment that changed the lives of these survivors, but there were many moments that we made their lives difficult in peace, not we know their pain", she said.

This little museum, as she called it, invites everyone to think and be encouraged.

The creator of this museum and the founder of the Jahjaga Foundation, Atifete Jahjaga, said that the importance of this museum goes beyond commemoration.

"The museum we are inaugurating today is a testimony to the suffering of those who have been forgotten for a long time. It is a legacy that we leave to generations. My heart aches when I think that the stories of the victims have remained on their walls. When I think of those and those they took with them to the grave without seeing the light. The importance of this museum goes beyond commemoration," said former president Jahjaga.
