Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, has reacted against the decision of the Special Court, which does not allow former President Hashim Thaçi to attend his father's funeral, calling it absurd.

She wrote on Facebook that judicial processes must be fair and based on respect for the most basic human rights.

"There is nothing more humane than attending a parent's funeral. Therefore, it is completely absurd from what we understood from the media that former President Thaçi was not given permission to attend his father's funeral ceremony. Regarding this unjust decision, I will write to the President of the Specialized Chambers," she wrote.

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, and the KLA War Veterans Organization have also reacted against the Special's decision.
