French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte have arrived at their summer residence, the Breganson castle in the south of France, where they will be on vacation until the second half of August, the newspaper reports today. Depeche.
According to her, Macron, like every year, will monitor the internal and external political situation during his vacation in Breganson until August 22 when the government meeting is scheduled.
During the break, Macron will review plans to deal with the energy crisis, environmental issues, the start of the school year and employment.
Breganson Castle has all the equipment for work, international calls and monitoring of crisis situations, as was the case last year when the Taliban took over Kabul.
The Macron couple traditionally spend their summer vacations in Breganson. Macron has previously received foreign visitors to the castle, so in 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin stayed and in 2020, then German Chancellor Angela Merkel. At the moment it is not known if there will be such visits during the month of August.
Bregason has been the official residence of the President of France since 1968, although not all heads of state spent their summer vacations there. Right-wing president Jacques Chirac was a regular visitor, while his successors, Nicolas Sarkozy and Francois Hollande, had different habits.
The first president of the Fifth Republic, Charles de Gaulle, stood there out of the public eye.
