Today is the last day of the population and household registration process, after the postponement of this process for some municipalities, however there are still a number of residents who have not been registered. According to KosovaPress sources, some residents have said that the staff of the Statistics Agency of Kosovo did not appear to them to register them, despite the fact that they are residents of Fushë Kosovë. Although, for this reason, KAS told KosovaPress that there are less than one percent who remained unregistered.

The KAS spokesperson, Hazbije Qeriqi, told KosovaPress that although a small number remained unregistered, this is in accordance with European standards, but their data is obtained according to surveys.

Meanwhile, citizens have expressed concern about the warning of fines in case of non-registration, but according to KAS, this applies to those who have refused to register.

The citizen, a name known to the editors, who wanted to remain anonymous, said that until today no team has come to register them.

"I live in Fushë Kosovë, but they still haven't come to register us, there are rumors that we will be fined, but they haven't come to register us, I don't know what will happen to us now. Also, they haven't left any notice in front of the door or paper if it was," she says.

The Government of Kosovo at the request of the municipalities of Dragash, Prishtina, Prizren, Drenas, Fushë Kosova, Skenderaj, Obiliq, Ferizaj, Shtërpce, Kaçanik and Gjakova had approved the decision to postpone the deadline for the Census of Population, Households and Housing until on May 24, 2024.
