There should not be unilateral decisions that cause a reaction to the other community, said the emissary of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, when he was asked about the issue of opening the bridge over Ibar and the dismissal of the management team for the Association.
After the meeting with the mayor of the municipality of Mitrovica, Bedri Hamza, he said that the normalization process should be a priority.
"The European Union has expressed itself on all these issues and our positions are known and I can only repeat it once again, that we are committed that everything that affects the life of one and the other community must be agreed upon in dialogue, so that have one-sided decisions that cause a negative reaction from the other community", he said.
Lajcak said that on Monday he will host the chief negotiators of Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels, where, according to him, there is a long list of issues that must be discussed.
The Slovak diplomat also met the civil society in the north of Mitrovica, where he crossed the bridge on foot, accompanied by the ambassador of the European Union in Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog.
Miroslav Lajçak is holding a meeting with the representatives of the Serbian List in the north of Kosovo.
He started his visit to Kosovo at the Government, where he was received in a meeting by Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
