The parliamentary group of the Vetëvendosje Movement has provided details regarding the debate on the negotiated contracts, with special emphasis on the electricity, defense and education sector contracts.

The deputy of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Armend Muja, in a press conference, said that the number of negotiated contracts has marked a significant decrease during Kurti's government, compared to other years.

He said that even in terms of value, the ministries signed 11 million euros of contracts by the end of October, three times less than in 2019.

During the conference, Muja emphasized that compared to the previous years when other parties were in power, the import and export of electricity from Serbia has significantly decreased.

Muja indicated that from 2013 to 2023, Kosovo has exported around 250 million euros of electricity.

The other VV deputy, Enver Haliti, said that he called single-source contracts propaganda of opposition parties and analysts who support the latter.

He said that from 2021 until now, about 43 percent of the negotiated contracts are within the municipalities of Kosovo.

According to him, the municipalities that lead with these contracts and that are recording growth are Prishtina, Malisheva, Gjakova and Ferizaj.

Haliti said that the municipalities have about 165 negotiated contracts, while the government and ministries have seen a decrease.

"Of all the contracts negotiated from 2021 to 2024, some 43% are from the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo. There are 38 municipalities and the public knows who these municipalities are led by, which political parties. The trend in 2024 in the municipalities is still increasing, only in 2024 so far we have somewhere around 160 contracts negotiated by the municipalities of Kosovo, while from the Government and the ministries, this trend is decreasing, it is below 60 contracts, which means that the trend in relation to central institutions is decreasing, while in municipalities it continues to grow. In 2024, among the 4 municipalities that lead are the municipality of Pristina, which is led by LDK, the municipality of Gjakova, which is led by AAK, the municipality of Malisheva, which is led by Nisma, and the municipality of Ferizaj, which is led by PDK," Haliti said. .

He also gave details about the contracts in the Ministry of Interior.

"As for the ministries where the opposition has debated, we have said that from 2021 to 2024, those contracts that were signed through negotiation are related to the supply of passports, the purchase of Microsoft for the public administration, which were impossible to procure in other ways. Whereas, at the Ministry of Agriculture", he said.

According to him, the Ministry of Defense has been criticized for food, but he emphasized that non-resource contracts for food have turned into contracts for the purchase of weapons.
