The Vetëvendosje movement together with the partners of the list, Guxo and Alternativa, have tonight presented the candidates for deputies part of the election race of February 9, 2025. The list of 110 candidates is headed by the candidate for prime minister, the current prime minister and the chairman of the Vetëvendosje movement Albin Kurti.

In his speech, the latter presented the list of VV, which he said are dignified and professional people.

He said that there are 41 women and 69 men in the VV list, 14 are war veterans, six are from the families of martyrs, six are former political prisoners. The number of those running for the first time is 46, while those who have run twice or more - 64, while the number of candidates from exile is three.

"We don't waste time with others, but to compete with ourselves in our highest goals - to engage with all the possibilities to raise our subject to the number of half a million citizens of the Republic", he said.

In the first ten of the VV list are also the current Speaker of the Assembly Glauk Konjufca, Foreign Minister Donika Gërvalla from Guxo, ministers Albulena Haxhiu, Hekuran Murati, Xhelal Sveçla, head of the parliamentary group Mimoza Kusari Lila from Alternativa, Minister of Agriculture Faton Peci from Guxo and Shqipe Mehmeti Selimi. The Minister of Environment, Liburn, was left out of the list Aliu and Besnik Bislimi, who will be the head of the electoral staff.

Vetëvendosje led the Kurti 1 Government, which is known as the shortest in the history of Kosovo - 50 days. The Kurti 2 government, which emerged from the February 14, 2021 elections, fulfilled a regular four-year term for the first time.
