The NATO mission in Kosovo, KFOR, has increased security measures in Zubin Potok after the terrorist attack on Kosovo's critical infrastructure.
"Following the attack on the water channel in Zubin Potok, Kosovo, the NATO-led KFOR mission has increased security measures to protect critical infrastructure. The Eastern Regional Command remains ready to provide security, logistical and engineering support to all communities living in Kosovo", KFOR wrote on Facebook.
On the evening of November 29, an explosion occurred in the village of Varagë in the municipality of Zubin Potok, in the northern part of Kosovo.
The explosion damaged the water channel of Ibër-Lepenci.
The Kosovo authorities have stated that the attack is criminal and terrorist and comes from gangs orchestrated from Belgrade.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that the attack was aimed at damaging the infrastructure "perhaps the most important one we have".
From Ibër-Lepenc, water is supplied from Lake Ujman to several cities in Kosovo, as well as the Energy Corporation of Kosovo.
