Kosovo citizens in the diaspora are voting at diplomatic missions for the February 9 elections.
In a press conference, the chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Kreshnik Radoniqi, provided details of the voting process until 19:00 PM and the closing of polling stations in several states.
He said that the voting process went smoothly and that the results will be known on Monday at the latest.
On behalf of the CEC, he invited Kosovo citizens with the right to vote to exercise their constitutional right to participate in the elections and invited political entities to behave in accordance with the laws in force.
We remind you that 20.324 citizens have registered to vote at Kosovo's diplomatic missions.Voting began at 07:00 in Kosovo embassies and consulates in European countries, while in Canada and the USA at 13:00, Kosovo local time.
The process is held in 43 polling stations in 16 embassies and 14 consulates of Kosovo in 19 countries: Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Hungary, Italy, Canada, Croatia, North Macedonia, Norway, USA, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey and Switzerland.
This is the first time that the diaspora has physically voted in Kosovo's diplomatic missions.
