The Central Election Commission has approved on Wednesday the design and content of the ballots for the February 9 general elections.
Against this agenda item were the members of the CEC from the Vetëvendosje Movement, on the grounds that the Serbian List is also included in these ballots.
"I have seen this ballot and I declare openly, I vote for this ballot but without the subject Lista Serbe", said Sami Kurteshi of the Vetëvendosje Movement.
But in this meeting, the recommendation for the allocation of funds from the Fund for support for the political entities represented in the Assembly of Kosovo was not passed.
The reason for this was the inclusion of the Serbian List in the 14 political subjects benefiting from this fund.
The Director of the Office for Registration, Certification and Financial Control of Political Entities, Besnik Buzhala said that the Office recommends to the CEC to allocate financial resources from the Fund for the support of political entities for only two months - January and February "because after the constitution of the Assembly, which may happen in March, the representation and also the number of deputies may change".
After that, member of the CEC from the Vetëvendosje Movement, Sami Kurteshi said that he is against the allocation of funds for the Serbian List.
"I am against the allocation of funds for the Serbian List, I have given the arguments, I have provided the evidence, nothing has changed in the legacy and the present of this political entity, therefore I am against and my vote is against the allocation of funds for the List Serbian", said Kurteshi.
The total number of voters for the February 9 elections in Kosovo is over 2 million and 75 thousand.
Meanwhile, the number of people who have registered to vote outside Kosovo is about 105 thousand voters.
