Pollution caused by garbage and other waste after thousands of displaced Palestinians returned to the northern Gaza Strip town of Jabalia, in addition to other difficulties in daily life, is leading residents to face a health crisis, reports AA.

Palestinians in Jabalia returned to their neighborhoods destroyed by the Israeli war under the Gaza ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel.

But the sewage accumulated in the area causes various diseases as a result of the population growth in the Jabalia refugee camp and the complete damage to the infrastructure from Israeli attacks, reports KosovaPress.

Palestinians in Gaza are also facing many other difficulties, such as a food crisis and electricity shortages, caused by the blockade imposed by Israel, which has closed border crossings and prevented the entry of aid.

At least 48.500 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, in the brutal Israeli war in Gaza since October 2023. The attacks were halted under a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that came into effect in January.
