Israeli soldiers continued operations against Hamas in the southern Gaza city of Rafah for the past day, the Israel Defense Forces said on Wednesday.
The soldiers eliminated dozens of armed terrorists, dismantled Hamas infrastructure and discovered large quantities of weapons, including explosives, grenades, AK-47 rifles and more.
Meanwhile, in Khan Yunis, soldiers killed dozens of terrorists in raids on Hamas compounds in the southern Gaza city. In cooperation with the Air Force, the troops eliminated several terrorists operating in an area from which numerous rockets were fired at southern Israeli communities.
In central Gaza, Israeli forces hit structures used by Hamas to launch attacks against soldiers.
Over the past day, the Air Force struck about 30 Hamas targets across Gaza, including squads, rocket launch sites, tunnel shafts, an observation post and other assets.
At least 1200 people were killed and 252 Israelis and foreigners were taken hostage in Hamas attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7. Of the remaining 105 hostages, more than 30 have been declared dead. Hamas has also held captive two Israeli civilians since 2014 and 2015, and the bodies of two soldiers killed in 2014./TPS
