The inter-ministerial committee for the administration of land and national infrastructure for spatial information in Kosovo held its next meeting in which the importance of property rights was emphasized.
During this meeting, it was also said that with the successful implementation of this strategy by all institutions, the benefits will be very large, both in financial terms and also in terms of increasing the quality of services of all institutions.
The Deputy Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Jeton Raka has said that the ownership right is guaranteed and clear only through a cadastral system structured according to the highest international standards.
While he said that within this framework the government has adopted several laws, he added that now it is essential to examine the requirements for completion and amendment of the law on administration and local government in order to fully operationalize this law.

Meanwhile, Helege Onsrud from the World Bank expressed her happiness that progress has been made in the implementation of the real estate and geospatial infrastructure project.
The director of USAID activities, Jennifer Ober, said that they are cooperating closely with the system and various institutions to ensure a good access to the cadastral data.
The executive director at ATRC, Kushtrim Kaloshi, has emphasized that the main goal of this program is to inform the citizens of Kosovo in general, with a special target for women, ethnic minorities and young people about access to property.
Meanwhile, he added that until yesterday they managed to physically visit some 3 thousand 600 families, in this direction, to distribute information about property registration procedures.
On the other hand, Amir Sogujeva presented in detail the issue of the address system and the relationship between the citizen and the official address. Until now, he has said that about 22 thousand roads or public circulation areas have been identified so far.
The representative from the Ministry of Agriculture, Idriz Gashi, said that there are 130 thousand households, stressing that it is very important because in the last census there were 170 thousand. He also stated that the number of family households has decreased, but the area for the family household has increased.
