The Deputy Speaker of the Assembly from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Enver Hoxhaj, says that there is no regional, European or even global context for a new momentum in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.

A new round of meetings at the level of chief negotiators is expected to take place next week in Brussels.

Despite such meetings, Hoxhaj does not expect positive developments towards the implementation of the Basic Agreement and its annex.

Kosovo and Serbia reached the Basic Agreement in February 2023 in Brussels. A month later, an agreement was reached on the Annex for the implementation of the agreement.

While talking about the orders of the American emissary, Alexander Kasanof, who visited Kosovo a few days ago, Hoxhaj says that the Americans no longer trust Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

According to him, Kosovo can return to the tracks of developing and maintaining relations with allies only with the victory of the PDK in the February 9 parliamentary elections.

As for the Berlin Process summit that was held on October 14, Hoxhaj considers that the approval of the second action plan for the common regional market is positive news.

However, he says he expected a clearer stance from Germany and the European Union to, as he says, stop Serbia from its hegemonic ambitions towards Kosovo, but also the region.

Hoxhaj also talks about the communications of the head of deputies of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, with the former vice-president of the Serbian List, Milan Radoicic - the person who took responsibility for the terrorist attack on the Kosovo Police, in Banjska, Zveçani.

According to him, this conversation took place at the time when Radoicic was training his paramilitaries to carry out aggression on Kosovo.

He also calls the behavior of the government and the majority in the Assembly harmful for the country "as if nothing happened".

On the other hand, Hoxhaj adds that even the arrests in the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure show that everything that the LVV has claimed for a moral superiority, does not stand.
