The candidate for prime minister from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, at an electoral rally held in Gjilan, in addition to Kosovo joining NATO, he promised citizens that his future government would provide drinking water and reduce the price of electricity.
He emphasized that Gjilan today proved that it is ready for big steps and according to him, with the AAK program for economic development, Gjilan will be a powerful economic center of the entire region.
Haradinaj said that NATO membership will naturally have obstacles, but it will be overcome successfully.
"We will provide Kosovo with water for hundreds of years and these are not expensive projects. This NATO issue, there will be some obstacles, without obstacles it is impossible to complete such a big job. We will successfully pass this topic. The issue of energy, there is no country in the world that bases its existence, energy only on purchases. We need to produce in Kosovo for another reason, to lower the price. The sooner we get to production, the sooner we can lower this price, it is with gas, near Ferizaj, the gas pipeline from Skopje, the cost is not high. Salaries and pensions, the minimum wage will be 500 euros, young people aged 18 enjoy jobs, they represent the right to the minimum wage. Every student who applies for a scholarship, if they prove that they are a student, has the right to a scholarship without discrimination," said Haradinaj.
Meanwhile, the president of NISMA, Fatmir Limaj, added that NATO membership will only be possible under one condition, if Haradinaj wins the elections, otherwise never.Limaj also criticized the current prime minister, asking citizens not to vote for him, saying, "if you vote for the lazy man, he will never work again."
"I don't know how he has the face to come to you asking for votes. There is no point, if you vote and are rewarded with insults, the insults will never stop. If you vote for the lazy, they will never work. Leave the slanderers and noisemakers alone. We need a prime minister who gets the job done. There is no job that we don't do, I don't know why, because the homeland is above all. In these four years, Kosovo will enter NATO only on one condition, if Haradinaj is prime minister, otherwise forget it", Limaj added.
Parliamentary elections in Kosovo are held on February 9.
