AAK Chairman Ramush Haradinaj has reacted to the Energy Regulatory Office's (ERO) announcement of a 15% increase in electricity prices from April 1, describing this as a serious blow to the citizens of Kosovo and the country's economy.
"Albin Kurti destroyed the energy sector with his irresponsible decisions. He proudly canceled the contract for the construction of the new power plant, losing Kosovo 21 million euros in damages in arbitration. He stopped the American gas pipeline and every strategic investment, leaving the country without any safe and long-term alternative for energy. The only beneficiaries of this deliberate policy are energy traders and his political clique - while the only loser is the citizen of Kosovo!" - said Haradinaj.
He added that at a time when citizens are facing the economic crisis and rising prices of essential products, the Government is harming them even more by increasing energy tariffs, reports KosovaPress.
"This government is incompetent and dangerous. That is why Kosovo needs a leadership that protects its citizens, not harms them," Haradinaj concludes.
