HANDIKOS has welcomed the increase in pensions for groups of persons with disabilities, but has requested clarification from the Ministry of Finance about the pensions of Paraplegic and Tetraplegic persons.

According to HANDIKOS, the total pension for these groups should be 450 euros and not 430 euros as published by this ministry.

Complete request for clarification

Request for clarification from MFPT about the 20% increase in pensions for groups of Paraplegic and Tetraplegic persons;

 HANDIKOS has welcomed the increase in pensions for groups of people with disabilities, although we consider that this should be done on the basis of some assessment of the needs of the groups of society and not in a linear way for everyone, since the needs are different.

On the other hand, according to the Law, Paraplegic and Tetraplegic persons, group I, have so far benefited as follows:

€150 (person) + €150 (guardian) + €75 (medicines and materials) = €375

While now with this increase, according to our calculations it should be:

150 +20% = 180€ (person)

150 +20% = 180€ (guardian)

75 + 20% = 90€ (drugs and materials). Total €450 and not €430.

However, in yesterday's MFPT data, the amount of 370 was presented, instead of 375, for which we request that if it was a technical omission, it should be clarified and improved, as it has caused confusion in the public.
