The Minister of Agriculture, Faton Peci, spoke on the economy panel of the General Council of the Vetëvendosje Movement about the work of this department during the Kurti government.

He said that there are positive changes in the agricultural system as a result of the great work they have done in this sector.

Minister Peci said that the fund for farmers has increased by 300 percent, while during this period there has been a decrease in the number of farmers in European Union countries.

"The opposite has happened in Kosovo. We have increased agricultural activity, where the total agricultural activity has increased by 27 percent, the number of farmers has increased significantly compared to the previous period, and at the same time, it is also the period in which we are faced with an energy crisis. The difference between our time of government and previous governments is like night and day. In the event that in the past the mountain was subsidized with wheat, we are the government that for the first time provided abundant wheat for everyone", he said.

Minister Peci has announced the continuation of assistance to farmers, where until the end of this fiscal year, the Government of Kosovo will provide support in the category of payments and grants in the amount of 300 million euros.
