Italian Football Federation president Gabriele Gravina and coach Luciano Spalletti will hold a press conference tomorrow following their humiliating elimination from EURO 2024.

Italy lost 2:0 to Switzerland, being eliminated from the European Championship before the quarter-finals for the first time since EURO 2004, when they were knocked out in the group stage, KosovaPress reports.

Questions are being asked about how the Italians will progress in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, especially after missing out on the last two editions of football's biggest tournament.

Spalletti and Gravina will hold a joint press conference at the Iserlohn training camp on Sunday at 12:00. This will be while the players and staff will be packing to leave the center much earlier than expected.

While neither is expected to attempt to resign, nor necessarily be fired, the pressure is already mounting on both of them. Spalletti was only brought in to replace Roberto Mancini in September 2023, just days before two crucial EURO 2024 qualifiers against North Macedonia and Ukraine.
