PDK candidate for deputy with number 84, Merita Makolli, has once again entered the race for the February 9 parliamentary elections.

Merita Makolli spoke about her role during the war in Kosovo, and evoked memories of the letter she wrote in which she reflected the pain experienced by former PDK leader Kadri Veseli upon the death of his father.

She told T7 that for three months she served in the KLA political office, which was led by national issue activist Adem. Demaçi.

"I had the opportunity to know Uncle Adem up close. I was very fortunate that many people in Kosovo wanted to know Adem." Demaçin "up close, as a great man of Kosovo, who has been the heart of all the great movements and revolutions that this people have made until the days of liberation. I hope that in the future Kosovo will produce Adem Demaça because they always bring Kosovo to power," said Makolli.

Merita Makolli evoked moments from the letter she had written, in which she reflected the pain that Kadri Veseli experienced upon the passing of his father.

"It was the day Kadri Veseli's father died. In the evening, I saw that I couldn't sleep and I thought that Veseli would end up in prison tonight, which means that his parent would die. I think that a person matures only when his father dies. You think about it in another situation in prison, if your father dies it makes it harder, but it makes it harder than what you are in prison for, because you fought for the freedom of your country. Your father is dying and you can't come to the funeral. It was a very spontaneous moment. I believe that he even drafted it on the spot, it was an emotion of the moment. I went straight to Facebook. I experienced Kadri Veseli at that moment. It was a moment and my own revolt, and I simply posted it and fell asleep and the next day I realized that that letter had touched someone and that I believed many people," said Makolli.

Makolli highly praised Bedri Hamza's candidacy for prime minister and his governing program, as well as PDK's list of MPs, to cover important sectors of life for the citizens of Kosovo, while expressing her conviction that this party will emerge victorious on February 9.

Merita Makolli has over 25 years of experience in the field of aviation. She was also a candidate for MP in the 2019 elections.
