The price of coffee has reached the maximum increase in the last 10 years, in Kosovo. The price for this product continues to increase year after year in our country. The price for a kilogram of ground coffee in Kosovo has reached 12.90 euros - cents, an increase of 5 euros and 80 cents per kilogram, compared to 2014, when this price was only 7.10 euros - cents. According to data published by the Kosovo Statistics Agency, the average price of coffee has gone from 7.10 euro cents to 11.56 euro cents per kilogram from 2014 to 2023.
The continuous increase in prices was also evident during the month of September this year, when the price of coffee reached 12.90 euro cents, reports KosovaPress.
In addition to coffee, there were also price increases in other products. According to KAS, the overall harmonized index of consumer prices is higher by an average of 0,2% in September 2024 compared to September 2023.
"This is mainly explained by the increase in consumer prices in this period in COICOP groups and subgroups: financial services (13,9%), coffee, tea and cocoa (10,4%), goods and services for the maintenance of common household goods (7,2%), newspapers, books and office supplies (5,1%), mineral water, soft drinks, fruit and vegetable juices (4,9%), clothing (4,4%) , glassware, cutlery and kitchen tools (4,0%), personal care (3,9%), alcoholic beverages (3,5%), trees (3,5%), meat (3,0%), tobacco (2,9%), bread and cereals (2,1%), milk, cheese and eggs (1,9%) with a combined influence of these subgroups of 1,7 percent in the IHÇK.
