Bulgaria's Vice President Iliana Iotova on Thursday inaugurated a power plant for the production of electricity and heat from biomass at Svilosa AD in Svishtov - a project realized with Chinese investment. She described the new facility as "good news for Bulgaria".

"We are used to seeing the good news in the background of daily black chronicles, of political decisions that, instead of facilitating, hinder the development of the Bulgarian economy, in the background of the scandalous smoke that is released by various institutions to divert attention from what interests every Bulgarian", said Iotova.

"I hope that in the coming days, in addition to the fight against President Radev, the government will take seriously the legislation that will make life easier for people," the Vice-President commented on the political situation in the country. "Instead of thoughtless decisions, focus on important laws."

Since the beginning of work, the Assembly has approved 10 laws, 7 of which are international ratifications, 3 are related to the budget. [The rest of the new legislation] are amending laws, most of which were proposed by the caretaker cabinet," she added.

"Instead of supporting the development of the economy, the state constantly creates obstacles with thoughtless legislation", said Iliana Iotova.

When asked by a journalist about the resignation of the secretary general of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Iliana Iotova said that this is not the first time that attempts are being made to aggressively politicize the Ministry of Internal Affairs./BTA-KosovaPress/
