The yogurt fair and festival of folk traditions and artistic crafts started on Sunday in Razgrad, Bulgaria.
The festival is organized by the Municipality of Razgrad and has the prestigious status of International Festival of CIOFF (International Council of Organizations of Folk Festivals and Folk Arts).
The fair will last three days and will include stalls of artisans and producers of milk, milk and other food products, which will compete in a competition judged by a professional jury, where the public will also have the opportunity to choose his favorite.
Photos of all producers with brief information will be published on Sunday on the Razgrad Municipality website. The public's favorite producer will be determined by the number of likes and will be announced on the third day of the exhibition.
As in the events organized in recent years by Razgrad Municipality, the space is offered free of charge to present the causes of several organizations and charities. These include the Zhaneta Association, the Podai Raka Center, the Diabetes Association, the "Together for Acho" and "Friends of Antonia Marcheva" causes, said the Municipality.
The first event of the fair after the official opening will be the Queen of Yoghurt Fair competition. The winner will be chosen by the dancers of the ensembles that will perform in the evening concerts. Traditionally, the Queen and her two runners-up will lead the parade of dance groups on each of the three evenings.
On the first evening of the fair, the public will be able to enjoy the performances of the Ludogorche Children's Dance Ensemble, the Ludogorska Mladost High School Ensemble and the Kapan Ensemble. Groups from Turkey, Uruguay and Georgia will also take the stage. In case of bad weather, the concert will be held in the hall of the Municipal Cultural Center, explains the Municipality.
The Kosi Fair and Festival of Folk Traditions and Artistic Crafts is Razgrad's postcard to Bulgaria, Europe and the world, said in an interview to BTA Razgrad's vice president, Elka Nedelcheva.
