US President Joe Biden will travel to Germany on Thursday after canceling a visit last week due to the hurricane, the White House announced.
Last week, Biden was supposed to attend the meeting of the contact group on Ukraine at the US military base Ramstein in Germany.
He was also due to meet German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Berlin on Saturday ahead of the Ramstein summit on Ukraine.
During his presidential term, Biden made only one official visit to Germany, and that was as part of the 7 G2022 summit.
The White House also said Biden would soon hold talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky and announce a new security aid package.
"Although Biden is traveling to Germany, he will not meet with Zelensky tomorrow while he is in Europe," White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said at a regular press briefing.
Zelensky will be at the EU summit tomorrow, where he will present the victory plan to the European leaders.
