The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, stated today that the Murriz tunnel has been inaugurated three times from 2022 to today.

Berisha said that "Arbri Road is inaugurated 16 years after its beginning. Not even completely. 32 kilometers of this road were inaugurated before 2013. 27 kilometers of road estimated at 160 million euros, have so far cost 450 million euros. That is, three times more than expected. One kilometer of it has cost 1.2 times more than one kilometer of the National Road".

According to him, the Murriz Tunnel was announced to be inaugurated on this date and this date and it was never inaugurated.

"I sincerely hope that the tunnel will function, because in my opinion, the tunnel was built in violation of the conditions and recommendations of the most prestigious companies in the field, including Danish companies, etc. I hope once again that it will be successful in the end. But the area is really problematic," he said.

He added that this road axis has no parameters and does not meet any standards it should meet.
