The Vlora Port Authority announced today that based on the forecast for the deteriorating hydrometeorological situation inside and outside the Bay of Vlora, during March 23-25, measures have been taken to prevent any unexpected situation due to weather conditions.

The Port Authority requested the cooperation of all entities operating in the maritime field, to take all necessary measures to secure the vessels in the port and increase the readiness of the crew on the vessels, ATSH reports.

Due to deteriorating weather conditions, "the issuance of departure permits to small vessels and fishing vessels operating in the open sea has been prohibited starting at 06:00 on March 23."

"The improvement of the deteriorated hydrometeorological situation for small vessels and fishing vessels will be after 08:00 on March 25," announced the Vlora Port Authority.

According to the Port Authority, "all drivers of small vessels and fishing vessels operating in and out of the Bay of Vlora should take into account hydrometeorological conditions and take measures to ensure their safety."

"International sea transport vessels for passengers and vehicles on the Vlora - Brindisi - Vlora line will be canceled until the improvement of marine hydrometeorological conditions, which will be after 22:00 on 24.03.2025," the Vlora Port Authority announced, reports KosovaPress.
