"The security situation in the north of the country is currently considered calm, but as we have continuously made it known, it is a fragile situation, followed by cases of various criminal natures, such as the last case of a criminal terrorist attack against infrastructure critical in the water channel, and for this the additional measures of the KP continue", it is stated in the announcement of the Kosovo Police.
On the evening of November 29, an explosion occurred in the village of Varagë in the municipality of Zubin Potok, in the northern part of Kosovo.
The explosion damaged the water channel of Ibër-Lepenci.
The Kosovo authorities have stated that the attack is criminal and terrorist and comes from gangs orchestrated from Belgrade.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that the attack was aimed at damaging the infrastructure "perhaps the most important one we have".
From Ibër-Lepenc, water is supplied from Lake Ujman to several cities in Kosovo, as well as the Energy Corporation of Kosovo.
