The Kosovo Police has reported an injured person today around 12:25 in Nec of Gjakova Municipality.

Shermet Elezaj, spokesperson of the regional police for Gjakovë, has confirmed to KosovaPress that the Albanian citizen, aged 28, while driving on the road Morinë-Gjakovë, in the village of Nec, was stopped by two unknown persons, who initially they attacked with a strong tool and then with firearms.

"The person was sent to the general hospital in Gjakova with injuries caused by firearms. We have been informed by the medical staff that the victim is currently out of danger for life", he said.

The necessary police teams have arrived at the scene, which have carried out the necessary investigative examinations, in which case three cartridges and two casings have been found.

Regarding this event, the Prosecutor for Serious Crimes was notified, with whose decision a case of attempted murder was initiated, while investigations are continuing to clarify the circumstances and identify the suspects.
