The leader of the Democratic Union for Integration, Ali Ahmeti, has said that he does not dispute the decisions of the US Department of State, since the former deputy prime minister of North Macedonia, Artan Grubi, has been blacklisted by the US.
Ahmeti has said that if the guilt is proven, Grubi will leave the party functions himself.
"We do not contest the decisions of the Department of State, Mr. Grubi has the right to appeal, to do the process in terms of the facts because this right is recognized by Mr. Grabi in the decision of the State Department, and Mr. Grubi certainly will not harm its own subject, its own family - the Democratic Union for Integration, until the moment this process has an epilogue", said Ahmeti.
"I think that Mr. Grupi is responsible and conscientious, there is no need to remove him from the party, Mr. Grubi will certainly withdraw himself from all party functions", he added when asked if Grubi will be released from party functions.
On December 9, DASH announced that it has blacklisted Grubi and the judge of the Court of Appeal, Enver Bexheti. The reason, according to the State Department, is involvement in "big corruption".
After that, Grubi reacted on Facebook saying that he has always worked "with dedication for the country's membership in NATO and the European Union".
"This decision affects me directly and personally", he said.
Grubi, who comes from the ranks of DUI, was number two in the Government of North Macedonia from 2020 to 2024.
