Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Besim Kelmendi, received the Head of the European Union Mission for the Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX), Giovanni Pietro Barbano, in a meeting with associates.

Kelmendi and Barbano, during the meeting, discussed issues of common interest, including the importance of advancing mutual cooperation in institutional processes, the need to preserve the independence of the judicial power, including the prosecutorial system, as well as the establishment of coordination in matters related to strengthening the rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo.

"Highly appreciating the commitment of the European Union Mission for the Rule of Law in Kosovo in monitoring the work of the prosecutorial system, UD Chief Prosecutor Kelmendi emphasized that EULEX remained one of the most important partners of the institution of the State Prosecutor", the communique says .
