Myrtë Zeneli was born on October 11, 1962 in the village of Shqiponjë, formerly Jabllanicë.
He finished primary school in the village of Zhebel, while high school in Gjakova.
Myrtë Zeneli takes an active part in the demonstrations that took place in the years 1989-1990, always at their forefront. As early as October 1995, he made contact with the ranks of the first illegal KLA groups for Dukagjin.
In April 1998, the command of the area appointed him superior in the offensive unit of Dushkaja. Since that time, Myrtë Zeneli participates in the many battles against the occupier in Sukë i Cërmjani, in Kralan, Jabllanicë, Qeskovë and other places.
In Kepuz, in May 1998, face-to-face fighting took place with the Serbian police and army forces. In those direct fights, Myrtë Zeneli, Agim Zeneli, Naser Brahimaj, Alush Agushi from Drenoci i Klina and many other fighters take part.
The battle had been decisive, while the attack of the Serbian military helicopter by the anti-aircraft machine gun and the encirclement of the Serbian forces in Qafë i Dollova mark the peak of the fury of the Dukagjin fighters against the barbarism of the enemy, while they give extremely powerful impulses to the liberation war.
The strike of the military helicopter, of the "Cobra" type, marks the first victory of this type by the fighters of Dukagjin against the air forces of the occupier.
On May 21, 1998, in addition to Myrte Zeneli, Naser Brahimaj and Agim Zeneli and their friends, Jelal Hajda, Fadil Nimani, Alush Agushi and many other brave men participated in the war against the occupying forces. That same day, Myrtë Zeneli was positioned around Dollova Pass from the direction of Bokšić. Meanwhile, reinforcements are coming to the besieged enemy forces from all sides.
Myrtë Zeneli, one of the most indomitable fighters in the Dukagjin area, was martyred in the fight to prevent the KLA positions from being shelled by heavy artillery weapons.
In July 1998, on the occasion of the restructuring of the KLA, the 132nd Brigade of the Dukagjin Operational Zone, commanded by Ramush Haradinaj, took the name of the martyr Myrtë Zeneli.
