Today marks ten years since the signing of the justice agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
Meeting between the then Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa and the Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vuçiq had ended with the signing of the justice agreement. This, according to mediator Federica Mogherini, was reached at around 02:00, after midnight.
"Wonderful results in the resumption of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue! Thank you to both sides," Mogherini wrote on the former Twitter social network - X.
After the meeting, Mustafa said that the agreement enables the functioning of the unique justice system in Kosovo.
Asked if other topics were discussed in the dialogue, Mustafa said that no new topics will be opened without eliminating parallel institutions in the north, with a special emphasis on 'civil protection.'While, Vuçiq had said that by reaching an agreement, Serbia and the Serbs of the north win, who will not be able to be overrepresented since the Mitrovica Court will have 9 Albanian and 9 Serb prosecutors.
The EU representative, on the other hand, had announced that the two prime ministers would even work together on the issue of illegal migration of Kosovars. /KosovaPress/
