To mark May 1 - International Workers' Day, many citizens also this year had the destination of Germia park. Many citizens use the May 1 holiday as a day of rest and relaxation, but a small part of them asked for more rights for workers.

According to the citizen Gëzim Kryeziu, the violations of workers' rights in Kosovo against workers are huge, starting from the lack of health insurance to pension contributions. He also points out the flight of many young people abroad and demands awareness from employers for better conditions for workers.

So did Shefket Lakna from Prishtina, thinks that salaries, non-respect of working hours and excessively long hours are among the main problems faced by workers in Kosovo.

Also, citizen Enver Makolli, as an employed person, has given his request to create a better work environment with more rights for workers.

Amir Xhemshiti has a similar opinion, who described the work done by workers in Kosovo as a struggle for survival.

While Shemsi Gashi has made a comparison of the present time, stating that in the past the workers were treated in a more dignified manner, while now, according to him, they are considered as slaves by their owners.

"The rights of the workers are being violated a lot, they have never been like this, not even in the past when the rights of the workers were violated, the worker today works like a slave", Gashi concluded.

Today in Kosovo for May 1, several protests have been held by the trade unions, through which awareness is sought for the rights of workers. F. Pelaj
