The Central Election Commission has announced the final results of the elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, held on February 9, 2025.
The Chairman of the CEC, Kreshnik Radoniqi, said that the new election law was implemented in these elections, which added legal responsibilities.
According to the final results announced by the Central Election Commission (CEC), the Vetëvendosje Movement won 396.787 votes or 42.30%, followed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) with 196.474 votes or 20.95%, and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) with 171.357 votes or 18.27%.
AAK-NISMA won 66.256 votes or 7.06%, Serbian List 39.915 votes or 4.26% of the votes, while the Coalition for Families failed to cross the 5 percent threshold, receiving 20.023 or 2.13% of the valid votes.
Radoniqi also announced the number of seats won by the parties, reports KosovaPress."Regarding representation in the Kosovo Assembly, LVV has secured 48 seats, becoming the strongest party in the Kosovo legislature. It is followed by PDK with 24 seats, LDK with 20 seats, Srpska Lista with 9 seats, and AAK with 8 seats," he said.
Regarding the transparency of the counting process, the Central Election Commission has ensured that the process was conducted in an open and clear manner.
In the 38 Municipal Counting Centers, complete data on the work of each team has been provided, including images of ballots completed in 2,533 polling stations. At the meeting held today, Radonić indicated that there was no violation of the vote.
The total number of registered voters for the February 9 elections was 2.075.868, while the turnout was 46.54%. The number of valid ballots reached 938.010, while 27.433 ballots were invalid. According to CEC statistics, 2.694 ballots were damaged.
