The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, has strongly condemned the attack on the Kosovo Police where Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed and Alban Rashiti was injured. He said that this organized criminal act is a serious violation of the order and security of the Republic of Kosovo.
"I strongly condemn the attack on the Kosovo police in the municipality of Leposaviq, where one policeman was killed and two others were injured. This organized criminal act is a serious violation of the order and security of the Republic of Kosovo", Begaj wrote on social networks.
He had a request to the international community to react to those who ordered and those who implemented this attack.
"I call on the international community to react decisively to the orderers and implementers of this extremely serious act for the stability of Kosovo and peace in the Western Balkans region," continued Begaj.
He expressed his sincere condolences to the family of the murdered policeman and wished a speedy recovery to the injured policemen.
While he asked the authorities for calm and close cooperation between KFOR and the allies.
"In these moments, calmness, prudence and close cooperation with KFOR and allies are needed more than ever", said Begaj.
"Albania is always in support of Kosovo", concluded Begaj.
