Kosovo, namely the Cycling Federation, will be represented for the first time with two cyclists in a European competition.
Cyclists Alban Delija and Blerton Nuha will participate in the European Games, to be held in Munich, Germany, on August 14 and 17, in the ITT and Road Race disciplines.
The President of the Kosovo Cycling Federation, Avni Nuha, told KosovaPress that participation in this race is a great achievement for cycling in Kosovo and that all preparations have been made for a dignified representation by the two Kosovar competitors.
“The Kosovo Cycling Federation with the world cycling regulations has received the official invitation from the World Federation and the European Federation to the European Championship, which will be held in Munich on August 14 and 17, where we will participate with two cyclists , Alban Deliaj and Blerton Nuha, who were champions both last year and this year. We as a federation have supported them with all preparatory and logistical aspects, and tomorrow they leave for Munich, where an extraordinary challenge awaits us, because there is the elite of world cycling, there are world and Olympic champions,” said Nuha.
The head of the Cycling Federation says that the expectations from this race for Kosovo should not be high because more than 200 elite cyclists from Europe and world will participate.
