The head of the trade union of Trepça workers, Nezir Behrami said that they are determined to continue the strike until realization of their requests.
“The number of workers that are striking is increasing, whereas we were informed through media that PAK has not considered our main request, to replace the acting director Esat Ujkani. We are determined to continue the strike, perhaps now in another form, for which we will decide later today,” Behrami told Kosovapress.
He emphasized that there are information on a development in favor of workers, as, according to him, the situation in this enterprise is being reviewed today as well in higher levels in Prishtina.
However, yesterday PAK through a press release has requested from Trepça workers to continue working, whereas it explained that appointment of new director will be done on August 18 through a transparent and competitive process, where the candidates will be interviewed by a Commission formed by representatives of PAK, Government and representatives of Trepça workers.
