According to their monitors, the directors of directorates have not been in their offices when different parties have announced the gatherings with their electorate. While monitoring the public gatherings, the use of official vehicles was noticed. INPO and D4D evaluate these actions as unaccountability and non-observance of contractual obligations that they have with public institutions to serve the citizens.
Moreover, INPO and D4D have monitored the beginning of election campaign for Mayor of Ferizaj from the late night hours and have noticed many violations as by the political parties, as well as by CEC. “The political parties have not respected the schedule of the beginning of the campaign by hurrying to place their materials ten hours before the official beginning of campaign,” reads the press release of INPO.
On the other hand, according to them, it is regret that the political parties have placed their posters on the trees of the city. According to the municipal regulation on protection of environment, this action is prohibited and it is degradation of green zones.
