The meeting between Krasniqi and US deputy ambassador in Prishtina, Degnan can be considered as well as normalization of relations between the parliament speaker and US Embassy. The relations were deteriorated in July 2011 when the US ambassador Christopher Dell had requested from the parliament speaker, Jakup Krasniqi to demand the removal of immunity of MPs that are under investigation, a request that was refused by Krasniqi.
Whereas Dell had stated that Krasniqi was urging objection between Kosova and Europe and USA. Krasniqi had considered these statements as hasty. Since that time there was no meeting between them.
In a video published in Albanian language, the new US ambassador to Kosova, Tracey Jacobson has presented herself and her objectives for Kosova. In this video she said that she has studied Albanian language, she likes nature and she is looking forward to explore Kosova’s nature and to get to know the culture and tradition of the country.
